A new screwgun or a set of carbs for the car.

But if he is not into tools. The complete Kevin Smith catalog would be cool too.

edit: Or this.

So does the provider of the winning idea get anything? [Wink]

That's oh so very cool! If only Make was a bit cheaper, I'd buy it.

A Torx T5 is a great gift. I disassembled my laptop with it and installed a DVD burner in my laptop. Had to go to www.backofthetruck.com aka Ebay to get it. I paid $150 for it from Ultra Drives, a Toshiba 8x DVD+-R burner, 24x CDROM.

If they have CDs, why don't you offer them digitization services, for transfer to an MP3 player if they have one. Or you could buy him lots of socks.... socks rock! [Eek!] [Big Grin]

Not a bad idea at all. Food is good. [Smile]

In this day and age, I'd also say that iTunes Music Store (iTMS) gift certificates would probably be warmly welcomed by a lot of people. I certainly wouldn't look sullen if I got one. [Wink]

In general hobbies / interests?

Books are good, EVERYONE needs more books.

Mmmmm... Half price books....

Monty Python, I mean, it's Monty, the FULL Monty even.

Gamer? Games!

MST3K Dvd's would rock my hizzouse.

Garlic... Mmmm... Garlic.... *Salivates thinking about his Black Mt. Garlic Cheese(Thank you Leavenworth!)*

Set of pans / a pan would be nice. Mmmm... Cooking....

Hufu! The Tofu that tastes like humans.

And if I think of more, I will add / post, depending.
