I was hiking in Hawaii last week and I came across the coolest trees. They had squishy bark, roots, and branches. Like a firm pillow. Almost like they were made of balsa or cork. If any of you are tree nerds, I'd love to know what kind of tree these were.

Usually the leaves are the quick & easy identifier for trees, then fruit (ex. acorns & samaras).
