Here's a shot taken by Nitrozac the other day. The view is of the Comox Glacier and surrounding mountains of Strathcona Provincial Park, taken from Mt. Washington... during the summer they run one of the ski lifts, so you can take a fun ride to the top. [Smile]

My veiw is mostly roses... The whole front yard will be rose garden soon, as our young roses turn into 6 foot tall beauties. Here are the newest pictures:

These first two are taken from my desk at work just as a nasty storm was rolling in.
shot 1
shot 2

This one is of a beautiful sunset as seen from my front porch.
shot 3

This one is of my birdfeeder swamped with sparrows. It's not the best shot cause it's taken through the window and heavily backlit, but I like it.
shot 4

Ooh I like this first one; the clouds make it look like you're staring out onto a vast industrial wasteland.

Those are nice rose pictures. As long as you stay in focus and have good lighting, you really can't go wrong with up-close flower shots.

Thanks. Pretty much is just a vast industrial wasteland with some ghetto mixed in. Ahh, home sweet home.

maia, I rather like shot 2 & 3. 2, just because it's rather interesting...3 because that looks quite unlike any sunset I've ever seen before - the colors are quite unique. [Smile]

Thanks, dman. Yeah, I didn't edit that sunset at all. Probably one of the best I've ever seen. I watched it go through a spectrum of colors for about a half hour.

So, I quickly flipped through a bunch of recent pictures (using FFView [www.feedface.com]), and picked out a few that I like.

Misc end of world/coast...

picture 1
picture 2

Similar area, but I like different aspects of them...

Not 'perfect,' but I just like it:
picture 3
I like seeing it a bit closer...
picture 4
...but putting it in perspective makes is sweeter somehow:

Wow, so many of these pics are excellent. No idea we had so many good photographers among us.

I am NOT a good photographer, and have no idea as to the quality or lack thereof of the following pics, but I just like them, so I thought I'd share.

This is quite an old picture that some of you have seen already. I took it when I went to the British Museum.

This was taken from a cliff-top in Cornwall, on holiday last year.
