What a total eclipse really looks like...

Total solar eclipse photos rarely capture the delicate structure of the corona. This photo is the closest I've seen so far. It is very similar to what it looked like through my binoculars... gorgeous corona structure and incredible prominences. Nitrozac and I both burst into tears when we saw it, it's that beautiful and awe-inspiring. It's why eclipse chasers keep seeking out the next one.
