I've been on this web forum for almost four years now. I started when I was a freshmen in high school.
Now, I know I have not always been a constant poster, I've had tendencies to drift off from time to time. But I've loved this forum, and the conversations on it.
Four years. I'm graduating from high school in little more than a month. I'm leaving my Vegas home to go to school at St. John's University in New York City.
I shall be studying Chemistry (with a concentration in biochemistry) in order to go to medical school, with the penultimate goal to become a Neurologist, something that is very important to my life.
Now, I'm not here to rant about my life goals. I'm here to thank you all for this community. Four years is the longest I've ever spent in a web forum.
Basically. Thank you all

Biochemistry eh? I highly approve. Now you just need to see the light and decide to be a real doctor. Not that grad school is a place for the sane.
Actually, a pre-med who's into chemistry is deeply reassuring to me. One of the reasons I don't go to the doctor is I've met too many pre-meds who told me they hated chemistry. Some of those get weeded out, others squeak through and become the type of doctor that overmedicates their patients...

And your roomie will thank you if you wash your socks once or twice a semester.
Everyone should do the traditional style of dorms once. Live with a stranger in a 8'x8' room and share the toilets and showers with 40 other people. Show up in the cafeteria at 1 pm on a weekday in a robe and flip-flops to partake of a breakfast of soft ice cream and suspicious waffles (or, if you aren't that guy, gently rib your friend/hallmate/classmate/teammate who is). Entertain yourself and your friends cheaply in the samesaid cafeteria by stakcing the coffee cups up to look like a spine. Learn how to deal with being sexiled. Make use of the flu that's moving door-to-door down the hall as a lesson in epidemiology. And then move off campus or, if you're staying on campus, get into a suite or apartment. You will appreciate shitty student apartments all the more after you've experienced teh dorms.

St. John's from out of state? My father, sister, two cousin's and a "paisan" went there, but we've always considered it a commuter school. I didn't even know they had dorms.
Anyway, congratulations. And, if you want drinking buddies, go meet the fencing team. Not only do they tend to go to the Olympics, they can keep up with the Russians they compete with.

Penultimate goal?
What's the ultimate goal then, world domination?
btw - if you become a neurologist, be careful with your pronunciation, you wouldn't want to be mistaken for an urologist.
