Wa-wan-wa... I feel my story needs that just for emphasis on the situation. I've...wait for it...managed to hit my head four times in the past two days. Three times on Saturday and once yesterday while swimming in my new pool.

The first two bumps were painful but not serious while I was moving stuff out of the tiny U-HAUL we rented to move important things while the movers brought the rest. The first two were just an "ouch that hurt." the Third one I had a two boxes in my arms and stood straight up, thinking I was very clever for missing the beam were I had previously hit my head "ah-ha missed it!" I thought to myself then...BAM! I heard a crack and saw nothing but blackness for a couple of seconds. For the first couple of seconds after that I had a moment of sanity, "I just hit my head very hard and will be in pain very soon. Find mom." I dropping my boxes in the middle of street and as soon as the boxes hit the pavement my head started throwing with the most intense pain I've ever felt in my life. No joke. So I ran into the house screaming for my mom and crying and holding my hands on top of my head.
I spent the next twenty minutes or so crying harder then I have in a long time. I just had a long drawn out cry were nothing was left. Every time I tried to stand up I got sick to my stomach and dizzy.

Ech. Moving.

Well I'm finally here in Scottsdale Arizona. Yeah me.

And Then of course I hit my head again today in the pool with a boogy-board. Will I ever learn? [cry baby]

You know if you hit your head, black out, and become nauseous and dizzy those are symptoms of a concussion and you are supposed to go to a doctor so your brain doesn't hemmorhage or something, right?

fs is right. First chance you get, get yourself checked out. Hopefully the rest of the move was uneventful.

OUCH - yeah you better just go to your doctor and have them just have a quick check.

But good job on managing getting hit so many times.

Hope there's no permanent damage [Eek!]

Also, welcome to the Valley of the Sun(stroke)

Forecast is 115 or so on July 4th, hopefully the fireworks won't spontaneously combust on the ground!

A proper concussion like it sounds LS managed can be a dangerous thing (mostly it isn't you just feel really ill...) but you should make sure - then again if you are still here and have got no worse and have no after effects you are pretty well likely to be A-OK.

Sensibly one should get checked over as soon as you can - though here in the UK the answer would be go home take painkillers and rest - call us if symptoms persist or worsen rather than gradually improve... (not really helpful TBH)

I went through a 'phase' of random blacking out. Once when I blacked out I fell down a flight of outdoor concrete stairs at school and smashed my head off the corner of one of the steps... I was so embarrassed I hopped up and ran into one of the prefabs... Never checked for concussion but I fell asleep for about half an hour til someone found me lol.

You should never sleep after a concussion. You might not wake up. Always seek medical attention right away.
