I haven't seen the original film, nor have a read the book, but I rather enjoyed the Hollywooded version of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Any consensus here if it am better or poo-ier than the Swedish? What does geekdom think?

D'oh...with her flurry of posts today, I thought when I saw that in the 'daily' page, it was from fs, and I was tempted to write "Well, you might be a little biased, no?"

Swedish is way awesome, but I'm going to take Snaggy's word on it, as I really to make with the read-er-ing [sic/fake.se] and watch-er-ing [...]. [Razz]

If I hadn't seen the original, I think I would have had no problem enjoying the remake. I have, though, and I didn't very much care for the remake. I think the main problem was that are are things I love about the original movie that were missing from the remake and that made it disappointing for me.
