We'll be having a federal election here in oz on Saturday, and it's good to see that aussies are treating the event with all the seriousness it deserves.

What a bunch of jerks.

(background note: 'Workchoices' was a very controversial industrial-relations policy of the previous conservative government)

I find the ad amusing... what's wrong with it?

Druid, I'm not sure you're outraged or if you're taking it humorously.

did anybody notice that no one was posting in this thread until TFD renamed it a sex party.

My next thread, whatever the topic, is going to be named beer boobs and batman.

What's the problem?

They seem to have things well-in-hand.

Hey! It's nearly Sunday in Oz. Can't wait to learn the out come of their elections.

I wonder if Druid is off polling even now...

Well, after standing in a queue for 45 minutes, that couple of minutes in the privacy of my own little booth was something of an anti-climax.

Tried for a 'second post' a little too soon. I guess I'm not as young as I used to be. [Frown]

Watching the election results on TV, very close, it looks like we may have a well-hung parliament.

Whoever wins, I doubt there'll be a happy ending.

It looks like 73/73 for the major parties, with 4 seats held by independents/minor parties, so no clear winner.

I should have voted for the Sex Party, Australia's obviously suffering from electile dysfunction.

The latest updates on the aussie political situation can be found here

A bit wordy, but generally accurate.

I believe the site is updated by hand.

Also, Druid, why have you ceased punning with impunity?
