Just going to introduce myself... my name is Scandrea.

I'm a grad student at Penn State University, still going through my first year. I did my undergrad and got my nickname at the University of Akron. Right now, I'm working on bedrock channel erosion- not the most exciting project for those outside of the field, but still pretty important.

Nice meeting you all!

Hehe, we are taking over...

Greetings Scandrea!

There's no prize for surviving your first year, not even a pat on the back, but there really should be. It gets better though, especially after quals.

Wow, what a warm welcome!

Don't worry about puns, maia, chances are I've used most of them myself!

Hi Scandrea [Smile]

Welcome to the GC forums. It's good news that you're not averse to puns - some people aren't too keen, but it's sort of taken for granite round here that it's ok to sneak one in every now and again.

Have fun and get posting! [Wink]

Welcome Scandrea. I keep hearing the prononciation of Scandrea they way Moon Zappa pronounced "Andrea" in "Valley Girl". Now it's stuck in my head.

Welcome Scandrea!! Have a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and kick back. The Cosmic Bong is around here somewhere, but I forgot where we left it, it'll float by sooner or later. All we ask is that you don't bogart it. [Smile]

Good thing your on solid ground [Wink] with your Master's work.

Welcome to GC!

Manhattan in NYC, is glacial rock from a glacier that stretched from Canada a while back. It made the temperature cold enough in the surrounding areas to make ice delivery/production possible, by using lake water.

Too much information... I suppose .

I fold in this ridiculous game of geology puns. It's completely eroding my confidence.

Oh, ah, hi Scandrea. Welcome.
