I loved it! That was great, guys. And I'm surprised you made the connection with Bye Bye Birdie. That came out a long, long time ago! But it was perfect for the Big Bad Steve sendoff.

And the poll... How could I vote? How could I choose among such rich stuff that is lodged in memory like a chicken bone in the throat? I went with Ann Margaret.

Something tells me we're not out of the Ballmer woods yet. He's always felt like an unpinned hand-grenade that everyone's afraid could go off at any time, and he could take a chunk of the tech industry with him when he does. But I'm glad he's lodged himself in the throat of an organization that doesn't concern me right now. Hopefully he'll stay far away from the city where I live.

Anyway, great comic, and as always, I appreciate the weekly humor, still after all these years. You guys are great. I'll be sending you a contribution to help defray the costs of entertaining me since the last one. Thanks again!

Shooshie! Thanks so much!

When I was a young'un, I saw Bye Bye Birdie on TV. Ann Margret appeared on the screen singing in that dress... whoa, let's just say at that moment I realised what all the fuss about girls was. [Eek!]

Same here! Ann Margaret was the One. Marilyn, Jayne Mansfield, and others were pretty things, but Ann was on fire, and she made that indelible impression on me that sent me searching for Playboy Magazine long before my time. I love seeing videos of her singing and dancing to this day. In this day and age it seems like we're not supposed to talk like that, but what's true is true. Can't deny her superpower or my susceptibility to it.
