or amorphophallus titanumm or titanwurz, has been known to bloom only 150 times since it's discovery.

Its 2 meters tall and smells like a rotting corpse, but the smell is not nearly as bad as waiting in a long line in a 30°C 75% r.h.tropical hot house to see it.

My mom has something similar outside her back door. She knows it as a stink plant or garbage plant. When it blooms, it smells like rotting garbage. My siblings can't stand it, but our mom loves it. The thing can grow to over six feet tall from just a naked bulb!
