Hi to all

Last night TheMrsMoMan got a call from some service agency asking her how the loan was going, her reply what loan? She had answered the phone before the second ring so the caller ID did not catch the number.

So this morning I attempted to do some credit checking, Freecreditreport.com and annualcreditreport.com if you are inclined,
use the second one as it will get you all three agency's.

More fun Equifax halted because I did not reply to one of their questions correctly, I found a small error at Experian called their resolution center, after explaining the call and the item in question Experian put a fraud alert out to all three agency's. Even more fun now, I check TheMrsMoMan report, Equifax had our address as back in Flushing and our prior address as here in Sterling dates and phone numbers also reversed. I am wondering if the reason I was faulted out of Equifax was of the address reversal?

So dear friends check your credit reports, and do it once a year.

annualcreditreport.com is the place to go, and the generally recommended course of action is to check each of the 3 agencies once every 4 months. This way you can check your credit over the course of a year, while qualifying for the free annual reports. [Smile]

Hey, MoMan, I had the new/old address reversal problem too. I believe it's because someone made a credit check with your old address, and as the address they had didn't match the current address on the report, they declared the old as new. Just go through your recent moneylenders/insurance companies, and make sure the address they have is up-to-date.

And thanks for reminding me this little trick. Yes, I'll have to check my credit report. My mortgage annual renewal is coming soon, and I have to make sure a past "misunderstanding" was cleared.
