Yeah...I read that earlier today - 'tis a rather good overview of important subject matter, accessible to all. The RFCs are a wonderful thing, and until I just took some papers out of my car, I had a binder-full of them that'd I'd schlep to coffee shops to review. (Right now, I have a copy of RFC 5514 on my desk. =P)

OTOH, I'm troubled by the omission of Jon Postel from it, RIP.

"Be conservative in what you send, and liberal in what you accept." (iirc) If more people took this to heart, the world would surely be a better place.

While there are no doubt some heated debates on some RFC, it is amazing how well the process works.

The coolest RFC ever is RFC 1149. Look it up!

(also google the bergen linux users group's implementation of this protocol)
