Do you think there's any realistic chance that:
1) Someone will set up a malicious website
2) You'll visit it
3) You have one of the wireless routers that has this particular security flaw (they kinda leave out the fact that it only involves specific models of wireless routers)
4) The person who set up the site will be competent enough to pull off this hack
6) That Google's vehicles drove close enough to your house to pick up your wireless signal and that nobody else's address was within the range of the signal so that your location is individually identifiable
5) That you'll be stupid enough to provide enough information in addition to your address that you'll be vulnerable to identity theft (because, let's be honest, someone who sets up a malicious website isn't going to go off and start killing and raping random visitors to the site, no matter how sexy you think your MAC address is)

If you think that all that is entirely possible, then sure... be worried.

3B) You're dumb enough to use the default router password or set a very easy to guess password.

That's great, as it's a typo-bearing password. [Wink]

I had to think for a minute when I saw it, as I'm well aware of the correct spelling. [Razz]

____ Actually I thought I had the mirror, then Dman I saw it was wrong. So I guess it might be viable.

You mean like the multi-billion dollar corporation I worked for that had 'letmein' as the administrator password on all their PCs?
