My friend wants to be a Confession Booth for Halloween and has asked me to help him with his costume. I am having trouble designing a comfortable booth in which he can actually have people come up to him and confess their Halloween sins. Any Ideas?????

No clue,

But welcome to the forums - care to tell us a bit about yourself?

Oh and make sure people (little boys) know that it is a Confession Booth!!!

Two refrigerator boxes would work.

I would light it pretty well so the parents don’t get too freaked out.

And I am not touching that whole priest hood thing.... LOL

You know pedophile is a pretty big word for you little boy. LMAO

If you can't find fridge boxes, you could probably build it out of foam core. You'll also need a kneeler and a small stool. If you don't have them handy at home (and who doesn't have a spare from their dress-up games?) I would suggest making them from corrugated cardboard UPS boxes. Try a web search on UPS package furniture. There was a guy to build a desk, chairs, tables and bookcases out of the stuff.

Whatever the sides are made, you'll need to make it collapsable so you can put it in or on a car. I would keep all the vertical edges flexible so that the two halves can be pushed in and back along the central divider. The roof could be detachable and fit in to notches on the sides so the whole thing becomes rigid when the roof cap is on it.

Now, if you want to go straight to hell, you can put a pentinent box on one side of the priest's box and a bathroom stall with glory hole on the other. [Big Grin]

How about using a camping shower curtain or make a booth out of frabric so they can sit down? Something like this would work too. Fabric vending Machine disguise

Ha ha great link Bibo!

I would go with a much smaller portable set up... two boxes on the head: one his head is in, the other that The Confesser can stick his/her head in. Robes complete the outfit...

This costume (the guy on the left) is always a winner:

Thank you all for your wonderful ideas! I will do my best and keep you posted.

I still have to finish my own costume, (a disco ball). I still need to install the sound system inside the ball to play disco music! Should be a fun night. I will take pictures if possible and post them.
