Can anyone clear this up for me???

I have a 15" flat screen G4 iMac with the lowly USB 1, and I fancy splashing out on a video iPod, which requires USB2.

Will this work at all? Or if there is a workaround, how simple/ expensive is it?

Does anyone have any experience of this combination?
All advice gratefully received.

I thought it recommended USB2, as it has better transfer rates.

As far as I knowmost USB 2.0 work on USB 1.1 ports and viceversa, the only issue here is that transfers will be 12 Mb/s a.k.a. USB 1.1 speed, so it would be somewhat painful to sync a large amount of data; so, if you can, use FireWire instead.
