I was joking around last week taking still pictures of my girlfriend and I at the time jokingly said can we make our own home videos, surprisingly she said yeah. Today while having sex she saw us in the reflection on the tv and it turned her on, so now shes all go for this webcam thing. 2 weeks ago i was trying to find out whose stealing my money and food but now i can do better [Smile]

Im not sure if i want to do a multiple camera set up, cause i really don't know much about it. I found this card thing on the net:

I don't want anymore than 4 cameras. If you have 4 small webcameras or what not... can you turn it into one video where it shows all 4 angels at once? I know nothing as you can tell. We where thinking of having one nightvision camera to use when we want and 3 normal ones.

Are wireless webcams any good? I found this on the net:

I want one webcam i can hook up to a vcr.

Can you guys help me out. Whats the best set up for what i want to do (basically film us fooling around)? I was thinking that progam that detected motion and took still pics would still be a good idea. Like could you have one camera using that software taking still pcis and others filming video?

Can't help you with any questions you asked...

Sorry, but I'm sure someone'll come along and bail you out before your GF changes her mind.....

Me and my SO have done a few *NSFW* (pr0n) rude digital pics for our own amusement and it can be fun - don't have a vid cam or webcam though....

If she's up for that sort of lark she must *really* trust you...

i guess she trusts me her only stipulation was she got the same pics and videos i took. So she had collaterol if we broke up and i showed ppl, which i know i won't.

Ive been doing some searching for multiple camera set ups and what not but they all seem to send pics and videos to websites and stuff. I only want this stuff for her and me to see.

My ex-gf and I did the same with a digital camera. She turned out to be psycho, and I was never really physically attracted to her anyway (despite me being too fat to tie my shoes [Roll Eyes] ), so I deleted all of those pictures never to be seen again.

My current gf and I attempted to do the same at one point in time, but her camera sucked (or thought I was too ugly) and all the pictures were just pure white.

Perhaps a simple analog video camera will serve any purposes you require? That's what I intend on using next time. [blush]

Erm ... can't believe I'm replying here, but 30fps is about right. Film is about 24 fps, digital video is often about 30 fps.

As far as lines ... well, NTSC is US format. Not sure if UK, etc. use PAL or not. My DVD player has a DV port. It's just a standard Zenith DVD player (actually, it's the combo DVD-VCR recorder, so you could record either type from the camera).

so no suggestions on a set up or anything?

What about a good 2 or 1 camera one?

SecuritySpy is a multi-camera video surveillance application for the Macintosh...

I used it to take this hot NitroKitty action...

[Big Grin]

there's probably Windows apps that do something similar.

when it says that the software has motion detection does it mean you need to buy a motion detector or the program does it?

Wait for it, someone might be able to help you. But repeatedly asking for some assistance might not endear them to you [Smile] As for me, not a clue, I used Dorgem under Windows for a bit as a security camera but it only had one screen.

k ill try and be patient :S its hard, icheck every 10 mins lol. I only keep posting because i see the thread droppin to the bottom and i know the trend on most forums is to not asnwer older posts and only the new ones.

I know there has to be someone here who will help me or can help me. PM me if you don't want to post it here. Ill try and wait patiently :S I just want to get this thing set up now [Smile]

*EDIT* I also want to be able to use audio with the files, movies wiht no sound suck! I ask these things here because as you can tell i don't know much about computers and am getting frustarted with google. I want the program to take videos too not just pictures.

Maybe im just asking to many questions. All i need to know is how to setup a 4 (doesn't have to be 4, 4 might be excessive, 2 minimum) camera type thign for movies with audio that are saved to the computer. MOtion detection would be a bonus and the ability to hide that the program is running (as i also plan on using this set up for security purposes but mainly enertainment purposes)

theres one i found i dl the trial version but the video clips are too choppy. Any others out there that can be used with more than one camera, takes videos and is good qaulity?

I have used windows movie maker but i forgot to turn it off after and my roommate saw it which is why my gf got mad and until recently didn't want to do it again. Is there a way to hide it form the system tray or something?

Don't know if this would work, but you could try creating a separate user for it, and using WMM as usual, but do a "Switch User" after it's running - it should stay running. I think.

magefile - it kind of works... it works uptil you resign back into the account that is using the movie maker then you get a error message but it saves the video up till you logged back in, so technically it does work.

Ill try this and see if it works. You probablly can't set the movie maker to start at various times or on motion detection could you?

Not that I know of ... but you might be able to set it up with Windows XP's "Scheduled Tasks" dialogue or something similar.

I know very little about WMM, I just know that I leave a lot of stuff running in my account when I leave the computer, using FUS.

Yeah, fast user switching. I'd been outside, and my hands were still to numb to type well.
