I love my Tandy 1000 TX. [Happytears]

It hasn't booted in years, but it is so retro looking!

Same with my IIc+. The best of the II line and portable too. May Jobs never lose his eye for picking the best of other people's designs.

Ahh... the memories! [Happytears]

That's right sonny, take a good look at your life now, that's as good as it gets. From here on in, it's a long, futile struggle against entropy.

Entropy always wins.

I remember my Tandy 1000. That thing was *so* much fun, and taught me *so* much.

Almost as much as my C64 and IBM XT. [Geek]

Also had a Tandy 1000. Loved playing Rocket Ranger on it. Tried word processing. I was faster with pen and paper than on a keyboard at the time.

Still need to test out the Ti-99 I have, to see if it works.

I remember the Commodore 64s that I owned, back in the '80s. I wish I still had them.

I remember the good ol' days when necroposting was stupid and frowned on.

No wait..that's now.

I remember that time I stepped on dad's laptop because windows sucked. I was 8 and not impressed with the gui. DOS was way cool.

I agree, but the topic wasn't too outdated and I had something new to contribute, so I didn't see the harm. [Smile] I apologize.

I used to prefer DOS and hated Windows. Since most programs, these days, are Windows-based, I've had to make the adjustment. I still use DOS for certain applications, though.

I have the packard bell in the closet that runs 3.1. booting it is a pain as the coin-cell battery that saved the BIOS information died. Need to know all the specs about a 12 year old HDD! Loved oregon trail w00t!

Still have (among others) my 1987 Mac Plus, with it's humongous external 80mb hard drive! Still works too, not that it's ever used anymore.

Can we put a selective resurrection on dead threads, so that you need more than N posts to bring a thread more than N weeks old back to life?
