Well, maybe not shy, but definitely retiring.
That's right folks - I just got home from my last day at work.
From now on, when asked my occupation, I'll answer
"Gentleman of leisure".

Congratulations! [Applause]

May you always be busy at something or the other!

Any plans, besides drawing in the desert?

Well, congrats are in order, I think? Just don't get bored and fritter it away on Pokemon Go. [Wink] Or...if you do, don't fall in a hole.

Thanks guys.

As for plans - nothing dramatic.

We won't be moving to the country - we're still anchored to this area by school for Druidling V2.0f (Druidling V1.0f finished high school a few weeks ago) and medical facilities for Mrs Druid, besides, I'm not convinced moving away from established social networks is a good idea, and I'm basically too lazy for the farm life.

I have hobbies I haven't had time for in years, and other interests that could become hobbies now that I have time to pursue them, so I'm not worried about boredom.

Retirement's come a little earlier than planned (I'm still in my 50's) so the retirement nest egg has to stretch a little further, but I've spreadsheeted this thoroughly - it won't be a lavish retirement, but we won't be eating dog food.
