This is interesting, but a bit disingenuous. Misleading? Baiting?

The premise is that total residential property value in New York City, with only 305 square miles of land area, accounts for a bit more than the total residential property value of the entire state of Kentucky. Shocking!! Except... NYC has a small footprint horizontally, but is built way, way, way up. Let's look at the populations, shall we? Kentucky: 4.413 million (2014). NYC: 8.406 million (2013). Uh oh, the argument seems to be deflating. It looks like PER CAPITA, Kentucky is the one out of line.
