So, I was having an issue with my roommate paying rent. He was back a few months!

Solution: I set up an apache web server in the house with a little web page that calculated how much he owed according to the date, then changed the "host" file on his computer so that every web page he tried to enter directed him back to this server with the site I created for him. Soon enough he caught up with rent in which I turned it all off. *evil grin*

haha, geekitude. great word! I've done something like that to him before but not as creative. about a year ago, I wrote up a very small batch script for his windows computer that would shutdown the computer every time he started it up, but gave him message to pay the rent. I enjoy using the geek in me to get the message across.

You'd think he would have learned the first time then.

I had a roomate in college that stole from me ( small things, a few dollars from my wallet to by ciggarettes ect).

Student services ( the lazy [email protected]@rds) told me it was my word agaist his and that there was nothing they could do.

I erased the magnetic strip on his cafeteria meal card. He didn't have teh five dollars to replace his meal card ( I had made sure to hide my wallet)and he dropped out of school. I got my own dorm room for the rest of the year.

(He was failing every class except for one ( intro to college ) which every one , except for him, gets an A in, he had a D in Intro.
