Regarding this comic: http://www.geekculture.com/joyoftech/joyarchives/2360.html

Right now, the news isn't usually about something Trump has done anymore, but about something someone has done or said about Trump - trying to undermine his legitimacy. It's getting pretty old with all of these tech sites
continually harping on him before he's even done anything in an official capacity. It's really started to limit what I read/enjoy during the day. Guess what, every
tech-savvy person isn't a Trump hater or a liberal lover. You should keep
that in mind. Even the guy/wife in the comic show themselves to be out of step with the world around them as the people in the panels are seemingly going on with life and not living in dread.

I understand that many things are blown up too quickly with Trump, like his Apprentice credit thing, but I would argue that Trump himself is saying or doing several things a day that would cause some to sigh. At least it does for me, and that was the genesis of this comic.

As for all the Trump Trump Trump, we're sick of of it too; everyone is. Poor Nitrozac has to spend all day drawing him sometimes.... eek!. [Razz] Unfortunately this is the sideshow that seems to never end, and there are big implications for tech culture, and everything else, during his presidency.

Regardless of that, it sounds like you were able to find something in the comic to relate to, which is actually something we strive for. We prefer to create work that is less zealot and more nuanced. In this comic, I wanted to express my *sighs*, but also poke fun at them too... sometimes you gotta laugh. People bring their own perspectives to our work, and we love to hear about that.

As one of the old timers here I have seen my share of elections, I voted via absentee ballot while in the service, R.M.Nixon won that one.

We have seen good Presidents and bad Presidents, however never this much controversy. Two or three elections from now we will know if the country failed us.

Pay attention to your values as they are yours and only you can ruin that. Try not to sell your soul.

There is an old adage here in Michigan about the fans of one of the major schools of higher education, What is the difference between XXX fans and a Puppy, "A puppy will eventually stop whining after you beat it."

I say that as some one that my candidate did not make it past the primaries.

Only history will tell if the country made the correct choice, if there still is history, WWIII will be fought with Rocks.

Actually, Albert Einstein's quote said World War IV.

I was not trying to quote Einstein.

As to the PEOTUS He doesn't know what he doesn't know.

So, how is Canada handling the massive migration from these United States? Before the election a good portion of Hollywood celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg vowed to move to Canada if Trump was elected, so where are they settling? BC? Will Vancouver officially change its name to "North Hollywood"? [Big Grin]

It would seem few actually move, which is great because we really didn't want all those Republicans who said they would move here after Obama was elected. [Roll Eyes]

Although I do know a nice couple down the road who came here about 10 years ago because of our medical coverage. And another couple in Vancouver for the same reason.

Oh, and a Tea Party guy who used to do nothing but rail against our horrible, horrible health system who moved to Calgary to work in a hospital. [Roll Eyes]

And I'm fairly impressed that by comparison, your Prime Minister is taking to Twitter to promote mental health awareness. Wow - talk about opposite sides of the fence!

So when will we get back to cartoons about "Joy of Tech" or are you moving into editorial cartooning? [Big Grin]

Given that leaders in Tech are railing against the horrific politics of the moment, this feels incredibly apt. Plus, it's right.

I'm feeling terribly jealous of N+S and their charismatic, photogenic, GOOD leader. :/
