So Mrs. Club has an iPhone, synced to the household MacBook Pro. I have an iPod Touch, synced to my work Dell. Her iPhone has never had intimate relations with the Dell, nor has my iPod had any hanky-panky with the MacBook.
This past week, while on vacation, I noticed that my Notes app suddenly had a bunch of new notes -- and they all belonged to Mrs. Club! We deleted her notes from my iPod and moved on. Weird.
Now the plot thickens. We got home today and Mrs. Club found that her notes had now disappeared from her iPhone, to be replaced with my notes. Including at least one that I created while on vacation and before I had even thought about syncing my iPod with the laptop.
Huh?! Anyone know of a way any of this could happen. Actually, I just now had a vague recollection that iOS 4 "enhanced" notes syncing somehow. My notes should be synced with my work Exchange account, but I do have our family email account set up on the iPod. Please discuss while I diddle around with my sync settings...

Well thanks for playing along. Turns out Mrs. Club and I both had the family account selected as the "Default Account" under Settings -> Mail, Contact, Calendars -> Notes. So I'm guessing my iPod pushed its changes out to the mail server and Mrs. Club's happily downloaded them, all over the air. Pretty snazzy if that's what you wanted, I guess.
Hum, and now I see you can turn off notes syncing for specific IMAP accounts. For a company that wants to reduce the human-machine interface to one or fewer buttons, sometimes they give you an awful lot of inter-related and/or otherwise complicated options.

are they synced up to the same me.com account?
Edit... you figured it out while I was watching insane clowns.

Hah, yeah, thanks for that Grumpy. It about sums up how I was feeling before I figured it out.
