Druidling V1.0f is in second year of university. As I type this, she's 'attending' one of her lectures - IN THE BATH!
I'd have done so much better at uni if that had been an option.

Oh my! I'm a little mixed about that - I think I get a bit more motivation out of going to class.
Where I work these days, attendance is something that's pretty seriously contemplated. Almost all lectures are recorded and available online - our students definitely watch them, but they have pretty busy schedules and many don't sit in on lectures anymore. For the ones that are mandatory, a badge tracker has been implemented to verify their attendance.
If it works for her, that's great! I just suspect that I'd slack off more if given that opportunity.
