My my that was lame.

Anyway, some time ago I was asking about custom wallplates I was looking for in an effort to build a little mini desk in my living room so I could put my computers downstairs in the basement.

I have completed the task! (Without the wallplates -- they were prohibitively expensive).

Pics:

The computers are hooked up to an IOGear 4 port KVM, and then the cable coming out of the KVM is a 30' cables to go cable that runs up the wall, through the floor, and out through a wall mounted drywall plate that the wireless keyboard & mouse connect to.

Also mounted on the wall in the basement are my dlink wireless router, dsl modem, dlink voip router, and linksys 8 port switch. I'm not completely done yet.. I want to custom make small cables that're just big enough to do what they need, and no longer, and go through the piles upon piles upon piles of spare computer hardware I have here, make 4 systems out of the best parts I have, and then sell/pawn/throw away what's left over. I own far too much crap I don't need.

Also seen in the pic are my cordless telephone (on VOIP!), a thinkgeek binary clock, and a myth & magic dragon.

Cool! but this setup definitely needs an usb extension.

p.s. Adjust your camera's clock, it's one hour early. [Wink]

I haven't decided if I wanna put a usb extension on it or not yet.. probably will at some point.

And the camera clock is exactly correct -- that's when I took the pictures.

EDIT: That, and audio cables -- that's the most bothersome part at this point. No audio. However, my amp and stereo are on the other side of the room, so I'd still have to run it in a weird way. I'm thinking of drilling another hole, and making it come up with the television cable.
