Josh has a business trip to Minneapolis, MN in April, and this time I get to go with him! It looks like I will definitely be in the area from April 5 to April 8, but I'm going to try for April 4 to the 12. Naturally Kaitlin will be there too.

After looking at the Frappr page it looks like Spiderman and GameMaster are probably the closest.

What do you say? Could anyone meet up with me?

How far from St. Cloud is Minneapolis? If it's not too far away, I might manage to make it out there. (A high school friend's family lives in St. Cloud so I could possibly stay overnight there.)

I'll have to do some calculating to figure if I could afford the drive. It'd be awesome to see you and Kaitlin! (But don't count your chickens just yet. [Frown] )

On second thought, maybe I should look into Amtrak.

Distance: 1,096 mi (about 19 hours 37 mins)

and that's just one way! [Eek!]

According to Google Maps it's about an hour and a half's drive away.

It would be great to see you if we can work it out. I might even be able to arrange a meeting closer to you (that is, closer to St. Cloud), it all depends on where we get our hotel and if I can convince Josh that we need a rental car or not.

Right now Priceline.com says my cheapest flight starts at $237, which is about the same price as Amtrak, but only takes five hours one-way versus almost two days. I'm looking at flying into Minneapolis.

This may all turn out to be a pipe dream since my car insurance will be due around then too. [Frown] Oh blast! That means no shopping at Mall of America! [Roll Eyes]

I've booked my flight, hotel, & rental car. I'll be in Minneapolis from April 2 to April 9. I was going to have the vacation part be after the work conference instead of before, but before works out better for office scheduling. [ohwell] Hey, at least I get a vacation, right? [Big Grin]

Sounds like a great idea!

It's about a 345 mile drive for me - not too bad.

Unfortunately, it's not likely I'll be able to make it due to work and other schedule stuff I have right around that time.

If anything changes, I'll be sure to update this thread though. [Smile]
