I am sitting here stuned. A guy from Verizon just knocked on my door to tell me they will be in the back yards for a few days running fiber into our homes. He says they will offer services of up to 60Mbps. I could cope with a big fat pipe ... not that I don't already have one... [Wink]

I would so turn my dog out there. I hate workmen in my back yard, no matter what they're doing.

I've live a short walk from the central business district, there's a manhole cover for a high capacity fibre line right outside my front door, but due to the fiasco that is Australias "competition policy" the best internet access I can get is ADSL, and I can't even get cable TV.

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

No wonder you're such a leftwing nut job. How can you hope to have an unbiased opinion without Fox news?

This is Murdoch country, there's no shortage of 'fair and balanced' reporting here [Frown]

BTW we started getting Fox news here a few weeks ago. I tried to watch it with an open mind, but it reminded me of a TV version of the National Enquirer. Sensationalised headlines with dumbed down stories. Now I see why everyone makes fun of it.
