I am in New Jersey, working for my dad. I make less than minimum wage. However, I'm taking a C++ class which keeps me occupied. This morning I was in the worst mood I've been in a for awhile, maybe because I haven't been able to sleep in past 7:00 in three weeks...Dad has all of these weekend rise and shine earlier than the sun trips planned...oh well, I'm calmed now.

There is no job worse than working with family. You never feel like you can truly be yourself.

As far as the early a.m. rising. You do get used to it after a while. I remember when I was 18, 7:00 a.m. was painful. Now at 28 I am oversleeping if I get up past 5:00. If you aren't used to the mornings then you mood will be affected. Hence the other post you got out.

Time to get a real love for black coffee and nicotine. Nothing wakes you up like a cup of Maxwell House and a Camel.

Since we haven't seen the sun here in NJ for about a week, it's difficult not to get up before it. But I can understand your grumpiness. I really didn't want to get out of bed at 6.30 this morning.

...past 5:00 is sleeping in. I'm not going to think about that seeing as it makes my entire body ache...but anyway, yes I have developed a penchant for coffee (though not black and without a camel)and depend on it every day.

Out of curiosity. What is the weather like on the left coast?

Out here where I am it is has cooled down. Yesterday it was only 97 with no humidity. Last week hit a high of over 107.

I get up daily at 7am. Anything earlier would be painful. I don't drink coffee, and I don't smoke, so the only wakeup I get is my morning shower.

The weather up here in Ottawa has been hovering around 28c (82f for your Americans) with 100% humidity and a humidex in the 35c (95f) range. Makes for uncomfortable sleeping because of how you feel all sticky all night long. :\

The current weather conditions where I am in NJ are 70 degrees and cloudy. 83% humidity, with a wind from the northeast at 8 mph.

You're meant to wash the blood off before you go to bed, silly.

Well I don't envy you left coasters. I will take triple digits w/o humidity any day. I remember living off the Ohio in Indiana and when summer hit I felt like I dipped all my clothes in hot syrup*.

Though walking out at noon around here feels like you turned on the oven and set a fan in front of it.

*Though the syrup thing could be fun, just not for 8 hours at work in the belly of a riverboat barge with an arc welder.
