i got a new hole in my face: a labret piercing yesterday, which means that there's a straight bar going through my lower lip. it hurt like a bitch, but a queer thing happened when i knew the needle was going to go through...i kind of zonked myself out and didn't feel anything happening, but this sort of dull, distant pain going through my lip. i didn't squirm at all, which meant that the piercer didn't have to break out the skin clamps.

(speaking of the piercer, mine was one of the sexiest men walking the earth. his name's owen, and he has a voice like a meditative monk, which does wonders for calming down his clients. [Wink] )

either way, it looks rather neat, having a little spike peeking out from underneath my lip. [crazy]

No offense meant, but lip and tongue piercing just doesn't turn me on. Nipples, labia, yes. But something about too much metal in the middle of the face bothers me. What do the rest of you think?

Still, if it makes *you* happy, that's mostly what matters. So congrats.

I concur QF...I also like a girl with a tongue stud because *ahem* well just because.

Me, I have no tats or piercings at all, it wasn't really by choice, it was more like: Do I want this shit when I am 70??

I find facial piercings distracting, like: "Don't look me in the eyes...look at this oozing, infected eyebrow dumbell thing I got goin' on"

When you think about it, people say it is about an individual choice, but it has become so main stream....unless you do something like (sorry 'bout the pic size):

not sure which was more scary, her piercings or her makeup.

i think the most extreme piercings i've seen are one through the gum between the top front 2 teeth, one that was just a bolt through someone's upper arm, one that was a necklace but pierced through each side of the neck, and one that was a claw that went through someone's lower lip and pulled their lip in a peculiar shape.

i don't have any piercings, and i'm not really turned on by them, i can even do without earrings

Really? I heard it really felt like being poked with a ballpoint pen.

just thinking about that picture - what would happen if you held a magnet up to the side of her head? (Answers on a postcard please)

I like the necklace idea.
The most extreme I've seen is a serving-wench at a local lunchery. She has the usual eyebrow stud, and another in her lower lip, but the one that really made me wince was when she turned around, and I saw the bolt through her spine. Ok, so I know it's probably not actually through her spine, but that's what it looks like, really weirded me out.

I have done some piercings on myself, nothing that lasted to long, mainkly because I got bored. But it was interesting while it lasted didn't really hurt. I have to keep myself occupied or I start getting bored and doing strange things. But my roommate is off of his leave and back in the room now, so I don't do things like that in front of him.

Years ago, the office Xmas party was at the zoo, amd had an 'animal' them. I knew everyone else was going in tacky zoo-animal costumes, so I want as a punk, 'a real fscking animal' complete with chains and safety-pin through the nose.

The safety pin was a fake, something Mrs Druid made with a safety pin, a hacksaw, and some super-glue, but it was a very convincing illusion, and severely freaked out some of my workmates.

Oddly enough, I didn't go to the next years Xmas party, I wasn't working there any more ......

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.
