THough this is fiction, I feel for frank, considering I tried 357 mad dog hot sauce a few weeks back.
That is 357,000 on the scoville scale, the person who gave it tom me said it was bad but he once tried 600,000 scoville hot sauce mixed with vodka. Tabasco sauce is ca 2500 scoville.
...and while it burned, two french beers later (675mL ea, 7.5% acl.) i was buzzing enought notto care my mouth hurt.

Tabasco sauce is nothing. I can drink the stuff and it doesn't phase me. Where do you get 357 mad dog hot sauce? I have never seen it at my grocers.

He said he bought it online, a quick google search gives many places that sell it.

I'll have to take a look. My brother always bets that he can take any hot sauce you can dish out. Well I think he just might have to eat those words. ![[evil]](graemlins/evil.gif)

"wait for it"
you'll try a bit and say, ja, this is hot, and good, but I thought thee would be more kick, but after sixty seconds, it'll hit you.

I remember once I had the 9-1-1 sauce from cluck-u-chicken...the kind you have to sign a contract for...I had 2 chicken wings with it on there...needless to say I nearly died. First I was like...it's not hot...then about 15-20 seconds later you'll feel the gradual pain of embers broiling your tongue then you'll need water or any liquid that will cool your mouth down...so I drank water...it DOESN'T WORK! WATER DOES NOT WORK! and I ate it while in school...the beginning of school...I ran to the nurse because I thought it burned my insides and my mouth...apparently I had heart-burn and she sent me to class, mouth on fire and stomach has just melted away. I don't even think the stomach acids digested anything. I think it was the complete other way around.

You don't think your stomach digested it? Is that your way of saying you had a 'ring of fire' later that day/the next day?

Nope - water is no good for that kind of burns. Bread is, and so is dairy (there is a reason mexican food often comes with sour cream). I believe rice would help too.
You'll know for next time. (Unless someone contradicts me?)

The pain from peppers comes from capsaicin, a hydrophobic alkaloid that binds to the pain receptors in your mouth. Water will not save you. The way to get rid of it is with something acidic. Yogurt, sour cream, milk, etc. are good bets. Coke or Pepsi might help. I suppose you could also try vinegar if you're that masochistic.

Coleslaw
The sauce has a nice blend of vinegar and fats which do wonders for removing the burn.
Plus, it tastes good.

People who know me well are still careful when I say something "isn't very hot." Of course, I have a completely different problem with hot foods. When I order something really spicy at a restaurant, they frequently make it weak, or try to get me to change my mind. I've ordered "Camarones a la Diabla" (one of the hotter Mexican dishes out there) at a restaurant and received a plate of plain shrimp. When I told the waitress I knew what I was ordering and could handle it, she still wouldn't give me the normal order, and brought the sauce in a separate bowl. It's just not fair.

That's normal. If it burned on the way in, it will frequently burn on the way out.

My experience has been that carbonated drinks increase the pain, so I agree that dairy products are often the best bet.
