O.K. Here's my review for Domino. As always take it with a grain of salt and feel free to disagree in follow up posts.

Plot synopsis: This movie starring Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Carribean, King Arthur, Bend it Like Beckham) and Mickey Rourke, follows the story of Domino Harvey played by Knightley. The movie is loosely based on the real life Harvey, who traded in her socialite upbringing and model possibilities to become a bounty hunter. Directed by Tony Scott (Ridley Scott's brother I believe)the movie moves along with enough pace to keep you interested in how someone as Harvey could end up in a business dominated by men and chock full of real life danger with criminals who need to be brought in at any cost sometimes.Camera work and acting are adequate for the film and I believe Scott uses camera colors effectively in this film to convey grittiness.

Who should see this: Those who want to see if Knightley can pull off the tough demeanor required for the role and for geek guys (well guys in general for that matter) to see if she looks hot with short hair. I believe she took the role to show that she is just not another pretty face in Hollywood and to challenge herself in a starring role, but that is my take. The movie is rated R of course for intense language and violence and let's face it, the job description of a bounty hunter requires profanity and violence.

Who should not see it: Those offended by said violence and profanity. Also, as a side note, Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green, both from 90120 fame, play bit roles, but I think they could have done the movie with neither of them involved.

My score: I give it a 3.5/5 stars.

So it wasn't short-short hair in Bend it Like Beckham, but the costumes in that one featured sports bras and soccer shorts.

Oh, yeah! [thumbsup]
