REPUBLICANS REALLY ARE CHEERING FOR THE TERRORISTS!

The slimy righties are back-tracking on this. Really, isn't this something we hear nightly on Republican Pravda (FOX news), or that we feel the forum's right-wing fringe membership isn't hoping and praying for?

Isn't McCain is issuing an apology for the great majority of people who support him for president?

What righty doesn't dream of an entire building full of liberals getting murdered by terrorists? Anne Coulter is one of many righties who has expressed those same thoughts; and look at how many millions of books she sells.

Wow!

If it isn't just cheering the cops who carelessly kill citizens, now old righty just wouldn't mind another 9-11. To righty, if it means winning an election, why not?

And some righties thought Jeremiah Wright was so wrong. THIS REPUBLICAN AIDE TO MCCAIN AGREES WITH WRIGHT.

Told you guys.

You don't have to look far for other examples of right-wing nutters eagerly awaiting the next terrorist attack so that they can gleefully point the finger of blame at them namby-pamby Liberals who stand up for the constitution.

Druid,

Why else would the right wing let Osama bin Laden go free after having him cornered in Tora Bora?

http://www.csmonitor.com/2002/0304/p01s03-wosc.html

Of course when Pat Tillman got upset that the US wasn't committed to killing terrorists -- they killed him, shot him point blank. Guy like Tillman is a PR disaster. They could shoot him, where they couldn't soot Valerie Plame.

As for ASM, I've blocked him once he admitted he re-applied to military service and was rejected. Let's understand that the US military now backdrafts the medically infirm and is accepting convicted felons and chid molesters into service.

So where does that leave ASM?

By his own admissions:

He hates decorated combat veterans. He hates freedom. He hates America. And the US military views him a few levels below child molesters.

Let's think about mainstream scumbag righties, not just the very bottom of the barrel.

And mainstream righties have now admitted they are cheering for terrorists. TRUE!

Resorting to slander again? (Answer: yes.... TFD might remind us that its technically "libel.")

You're probably assuming "ASM hates me, so that proves he hates <blah> <blah> <blah> <blah> <blah> ...."

FYI: I don't hate you, Colonel Panic, but I can tell by your "typical" posts that your sanity level is on par with a rabid dog, jacked-up on crystal meth.

ASM I have some very serious advice to give you.

Please don't repeat that experiment. It was a waste of good drugs, and the dog couldn't have enjoyed it either.

That's a lot of words to say, 'asm is a raging douche who's too stupid to realise nobody here wants him and see his idiotic ramblings as nothing more than a source of humour spouted by someone on the brink of dimentia.'

Shit. I think I might've used more words. [Frown]

You must not have understood me. Colonel Panic's statements against me are lies, they are malicious and unfounded. (Maybe GC policy accepts that behavior. I guess Snaggy can PM me on that issue.)

Take a stand, Callipygous. You really believe that I admitted "I hate freedom / hate America" and the US Military "views me a few levels below child molesters."?

If you answer "no", then you're rationalizing your hatred of me by lying to yourself and everyone around you. If you like, you can either "shut up" or you can give me reason to believe that you're just as hateful and insane as Colonel Panic (although less noisy).

Maybe you think Colonel Panic is an excellent role model for soldiers: someone who would rant and rave in public while carrying an assault rifle, with open contempt for people that don't come from his "right part of the world."

We're not hoping for a terrorist attack to elect McCain, we're worried that it'd take a terrorist attack to elect McCain. But since the jihadis know that too, the next attack will likely happen within months of Obama getting elected. The jihadis will test him, just like they tested Clinton with the first WTC bombing in 1993 and Bush in the second attack on 9/11, and sadly Obama is unlikely to disappoint them. Jihadis aren't impressed by lawyers. The least bad option is to elect McCain instead of the second coming of President Carter but, as I said, it's not likely.

Unfortunately stating the obvious is considered impolitic so McCain had to denounce his aide.

Uhhhhh – while I've been posting to the boards here lately like a horny male rabbit in a field of female, methinks I've missed something with ASM. I've seen the latest posts, but, still, I really believe I've missed the entire backstory.

Anyway, on the one hand I agree with Black's sentiment. Another terrorist attack on US soil and McCain will most likely win. Let's be honest here, Democrats aren't necessarily known for being hawkish (though, I do side with the Democrats, and do lean heavily to the hawkish side). The Republicans, though, they'll shoot anything that remotely looks like food.

However, I do get the feeling that those on the right wouldn't necessarily be all that upset if such an event took place. And, knowing that Black's apology was nearly word for word the same as the PR apology, well, I can't really believe he didn't mean exactly "I hope there's another terrorist attack on US soil so McCain wins." Despicable, if you ask me.

Methinks I've missed something with ASM. I've seen the latest posts, but, still, I really believe I've missed the entire backstory.

Essentially it goes back to July 2004. An argument was made that the US (and its allies) were violating the sovereign rights of nations in a very horrible manner, namely Afghanistan and Iraq.

I was not sympathetic to Afghanistan, nor Iraq ... especially in the case of Afghanistan, where the Taliban gave safe-haven to the self-professed accessory to murder known as Osama bin Laden.

I suppose the "main" argument against me (and US use of force against the Taliban) was something like "if you can't give the accused a fair trial, and not violate his rights in any way, then the right thing to do is to have neither trial nor take the man's freedoms" -- the accused being Osama bin Laden. Along the way, phrases like "I am not defending the Taliban" and "I am not defending Osama bin Laden" were thrown in, and I considered those statements to be lies.

That is a VERY short summary, in fact it hardly scratches the surface of the "entire backstory."

Part of ASM's summary of the backstory is fairly accurate...

quote:
Quoth ASM:
...Along the way, phrases like "I am not defending the Taliban" and "I am not defending Osama bin Laden" were thrown in, and I considered those statements to be lies.

i.e. ASM has formed the opinion we're a bunch of supporters of (or apologists for) Islamic Extremism. Of course, no matter how often we point out his error, our words are dismissed as "lies"† (you can't trust them sneaky Islamic Extremists). He's even been known to complain that the absence of any evidence to support his theory is due to us carefully avoiding "self-incrimination".

Typical paranoid delusional behaviour.

Every now and then, when he comes off his medication, he posts a long incoherent rant trying to convince us to give up our support for Saddam, Osama, et al. Most regulars groan in dismay, but I find it's more fun to point and laugh.

† - ASM likes to use the word lie to dismiss any statement that doesn't suit him at the moment, even if it's repeating something ASM himself wrote in another thread.

Actually his memory is as faulty as his logic, (and BTW thanks Cap'n Vic for your admirably clear diagram of ASM's circuit boards, but I would love a more detailed schematic of its central component the Cone of Irrelevance [Big Grin] ). In line with world wide public opinion generally, while there were a few people here who opposed the invasion of Afghanistan, the majority accepted it. It was the ruthless hectoring bullying arrogance and utterly boneheaded stupidity of the current administration, that united the great majority of forum members here against the tragic adventure in Iraq.

ASM must be one of the last people outside the White House, who still thinks it is a fabulous success. He is also very consistent. Like a salami, you can slice into any of his rants at any place in the last 4 years, and find the same themes repeated endlessly. He clearly believes that if you repeat anything often enough, it will become true, an interesting if unsuccessful experiment.

Still if it keeps him out of that cellar, and away from those caged dogs and class A drugs, we are probably doing a public service. [devil wand] [Wink]

Both true and false. Sometimes dissent can be viewed as idiocy. Often times, however, an idiot is always dissenting. It's a tough, thin line to determine. [Razz]

As for the backstory fill–in, thanks. It clears much up, and, yet, I feel like I've missed the last 3 seasons of some really interesting, involving show. Anyway, regarding our current wars I believe Callipygous has hit the nail on the head for me.

Unfortunately, I believe we will be stuck in the Middle East in some sort of combat situation for decades to come. I don't think there's an easy way out of this one.

Lastly ("Yeah, he's finally going to shut up," the crowd yells), I don't advocate throwing anyone from the boards unless they are a serious threat to calm and order. Let their voice be heard, no matter how grating it may be to you.
