hello everybody. I joined GC a while ago but I guess I just forgot to do an 'all about me'. Or maybe I did, but my memory has been really shoddy of late.
About me: I am a C coder to the core, i'm trying to start my own technocratic socialist party, my social life sucks (thats where the name came from) for no justifiable reason. I'm way into sports, especially a sport where you can get seriously injured/seriously injur someone.

I currently maintain a green belt in taekwondo and I play good ol' american football. I stand at 6'4'' and weigh in at 270 lbs (or 1.93 meters and about 1201 newtons for those of who who prefer IS).

My geeky self is suffocating here in montana. There are simply no computer geeks at my school-- at least not the kind at my level, not to seem arrogant.

alright, well, i just thought you guys would enjoy seeing the complete nerd, though i doubt anyone really cares.

Awwe, I care NWNF. [Smile] Thanks for introducing yourself.

Yeah, high school sucked so bad for me, I dropped out and got my GED. Historically, I have had a very lame social life. I never really started making geek friends until college, and it's even easier to meet like minded people now that I am in grad school. Hang in there.

Once you stop caring about your social life it will improve. Well, that happened to me at least.

Welcome. I will refuse any challenges to arm wrestle on the pain of losing miserably.

That's where I'm moving in the fall. I can't stand conservative Billings anymore.

Billings is smelly. I go out near coalstrip to hunt every year, and every time we drive past billings the sugar beet refineries and the oil refineries give me headaches.
so I take it you're moving out here for school?

There's a high probability of that. I'm quite a good writer. I just had my first piece published so I'm really excited to dive into the writing community more. It's pretty much the only thing I enjoy.

That's cool! I wish I could motivate myself to write... mostly I restrict my creative animus to science fiction/fantasy, and I'm a pretty good technical writer for things computer-related.

If you enjoy writing about technical things you should express interest in writing a tech column for your high school newspaper. If you put things in lamen terms for people like me who can check email and load my ipod, your knowledge would be appreciated by your peers. There are also a lot of journals that publish works in specific fields like computer technology, and freelance writing is a cool field.

Gut Idee! I'll look into that. Especially the highschool newspaper part.
