Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums! My name is Alexis and I might consider myself more of a dork than a geek [Wink] Anyhow, I thought I'd add to the geek culture with my first post... I found a site today that lets you beat up your co-workers with fast food (my daydreams have come true!). Hehe, check it out: www.needforfeed.com
Cheers,

-Alexis

Hi Alexis, welcome to the forums. I must admit to being a big dork, myself. Glad to have you here.

Hi there and welcome, from a fellow board newbie.

Is it just me, or has Burger King completely lost its mind recently?

Am I the only one who thinks this post is more than slightly spamish?
Maybe I'm still suffering from the effects of that omlette I took to the
head this morning. [ohwell]

Stupid typesetters...

EDIT: Oh, hello and welcome Alexis! [Smile]

I don't find it spammish. How many people here hadn't heard of Burger King before? And it's a link to a game, not a sales section of the site. Welcome, Alexis. [Big Grin] Enjoy the boards.

Burger King is big on the viral internet games/fun things to do thing.

Which is funny, since over here Burger King doesnt own the trademark Burger King, and is marketed as Hungry Jacks.

This begs the question: Is Jack the Burger King? and if he is, why is he always hungry?

What committe at the Burger King corporation came up with THAT idea?

Burger King exec A: "How will we keep ahead of the competition in this rigurous and tight junk food market?"

Burger King exec B: "I know! People just LOVE whacking co-workers with junk food!"

Burger King exec A: "Then why not simulate it on our website!?!?"

Burger King exec B: "Call the development team NOW!!!!"

Did a conversation like this actually happen? Whoa. I'm not sure what to do next. Maybe I'll throw some Ho-Hos at my wife while she's asleep?

But thank you for sharing that bit of corporate creativty with us. I actually beat the snot out of those people with French Toast Sticks.

Hmmm... but will this site encourage workplace violence... hmmm... [crazy]

No, Zim'et, you're not. My wife has the same reaction. Must be a gender thing though; it has zero effect on me or the boys.

Howdy Alexis and welcome.

I don't know what I was thinking... it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I'm a bit more disturbed by Hootie (as in, the Blowfish) dressed up in cowboy gear singing a Burger King version of "The Big Rock Candy Mountain". Now that is freaky.
