I found a tool in My box that was not working properly. My 1" dial indicator was sticky and it worked fine the last time I used it. Someone borrowed it and returned it without letting Me know it was inoperable. This is the second time I found a tool was bad and was not not reported to Me. I closed My tool box to most of the shop and for now I only let a couple of trusted friends use My tools. I don't like to tell people they can't borrow things but I do not enjoy replacing things they break. I am thinking of making a sign up sheet and checking out My tools but not sure if I should let them be used by the masses. They make the same money I do and can get their own. There is also a stockroom upstairs that has many of the tools they need. Why can't they just admit they broke it and stop being so sneaky about it. I feel like I am working with children. Of course, children is a step up from pets. maybe I should keep a rolled up newspaper next to My toolbox for those naughty creatures. I think they could use some discipline...........Z

The indicator was easily fixed, so I loosened up on the access to My box. Now I keep it locked, this way they have to find Me to borrow a tool. Of course, I make them earn the privelege. I just love messing with their minds, it is soooooo easy sometimes. Today, I made someone describe in detail the tool they wanted to borrow and its intended use. That was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. For the next guy, I pretended not to know what the tool was he wanted to borrow. Then once he was sure I knew what tool it was, I acted as though I never had that particular tool though he borrowed it last week. What can I say, I love what I do. It's not easy being Me, but somebody has to do it.....Z

ZTF, I'd hardly expect you to have a narrow bridge and valley at your place of work...but then again, SupportGoddess has something even better in hers. I'm sure you can come up with some alternative punishment for all those unworthy would-be borrowers of tools:Name: Bob Quest: Your most expensive and highly prized tool Favorite Color: Green..err..no...black? AAAIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The sulfur pit sounded good, but we got something much worse. I suppose I could lock them in the men's room after a spicy lunch. There are some really smelly people working here >;o)............Z

Is it ever a good thing it's after hours here... if people heard me laughing like I just did, they might start wondering WTF I'm doing.
