Every now and then, Nitrozac fires up a paint brush and canvas and produces a painting. Recently she thought she might like to try doing more of these, and offer them up for auction. So low and behold...

Nitrozac Paintings!

The first painting on the block is a portrait of Clyde Tombaugh, Discoverer of Pluto.

Excellent! Will there be any way to buy any of Nitrozac's paintings without having to use e-Bay?

I have a Nitrozac original.

This is a picture of it, with some modifications. You can see her signature on the 3rd leaf from the bottom right.

A new one is up... Portrait of Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computers.

Zwilnik, we're not quite sure yet. If there are no bids on a particular painting, Nitrozac may relist at a lower price, or be open to private offers. Or pull a Disney and lock it away in the Vault. [Razz]

Price-wise there's no problem, Nitro's work is worth a lot more than the listing price, but I just don't use e-Bay. Is it possible to put in private bids (maybe for Superfans only ? [Smile] ) ?

Zwilnik, hmmm, cool idea. Not sure how that would work with an existing auction though.

I could make an eBay account for SuperFans maybe. I guess you would just tell me what you wanted to bid and I would bid that. Then instead of shipping to me I would ship to you. [Razz]

I like qwilniks Idea as well. I haven't used Ebay in ages, do I assume I must still only pay with paypal there?

Snaggy, I think eBay would cancel your account if you are bidding on an item from the same shipping/billing address, it would look like you are trying to inflate the price on the auction item.

Ashitaka, no PayPal is not the only way to pay, the seller can choose to accept checks, money orders, international money orders, etc...

Bibo: hmmm, yeah, I'd have to make it a whole different address etc, unless they also track IPs.

Zwilnik... why don't you use eBay?

Can we barter for prints?

I have several items that might be of interest or you could post a wanted list?

Nitrozac: if you've indeed decided to paint a JoT babe every Friday night, how about one of the "I'm a Mac!" girl? That notwithstanding, I'd still love to see (per this post) an Apple vs. Microsoft-flavored showdown in JoT sometime between her and Miss iPod killer.

Great painting, I would have expected nothing less! - I've never read a post by Nitrozac in the time I've been here, I guess she is busy with JoT [Smile]

Hmmm, maybe a "Men of GC calendar" using Nitrozac's renditions of the guys? ;-)
Or do you think a "Women of GC calender" would be more popular? :-D

It'd be a very small painting then.
