The Retro Joypoll did not mention the Resurrection of our Lord, which is certainly my (and surely many others')favorite Easter thing.

It's spelled "resurrection".

Ah, I see where you got that from now, at the bottom of the results window in tiny type. But my point is that it wasn't a selection in the poll itself where we who consider this the greatest Easter event might choose it.

Umm, that's true, and I see where you're coming from. However, voting in the poll is optional, and you can view the results without voting. If none of the choices are suitable, then one can always abstain from voting entirely. I really don't see where the problem is, and that's from someone who agrees with your view of the greatest Easter event.

I didn't say this was a problem, I was only commenting on its conspicuous absence. Indeed, considering that the results window often lists the poll choices followed by commentary that is sometimes a little on the racy side, I think it might be better that Christ's Resurrection be unmentioned in the poll rather than be mentioned possibly in an irreverent context. But a listing of favorite Easter things that omits Christ's Resurrection is pretty conspicuous, not unlike a listing of significant persons at Apple or Microsoft that omitted mentioning Steve Jobs or Bill Gates.

I find that "Off Base Liberty" wasn't one of the choices and that has to be the best thing about easter.

I love my LIBO

Hey, it said something about a day off work. Is that why the stockroom is closed today? But the guy who fixes centrifuges came in today - right when he said he would too. And I came in. And my labmates who are in town came in. And my boss came in. Or is the day off of which people speak Sunday? But don't most people take Sundays (and Saturdays) off anyways?

Is this something I'll figure out when I get a real job?

OTOH, maybe it's good the stockroom is closed. The primers I rodered were not received, and so I'll have an easier time tkaing tomorrow (mostly) off...a two-day weekend would be nice. Very nice indeed.

Erm, in following the instructions for making the eggs, would the images not be *reversed*?

Thus all the writing would be back to front. [Big Grin] [Razz]

Maybe you're supposed to hold up your eggs to a mirror when you're posing in your Easter finery?? [Wink]

Or maybe since we're geeks, we'll be smart enough to print a reverse image?

Or maybe...! Roll one egg on the page, then roll it onto another egg. Yeah! That's it! Offset printing! [Big Grin]
