Did anyone else find it ironic that Google's doodle for Earth Day was an animated image, and therefore requires the CPU to work continuously, consequently using more energy and producing more emissions than a static image?

yes, but if by raising awareness, eventhough the use energy to do so, in the long run maybe more will get done to protect this planet.

the most fficient thing would have been to do nothing.

that, also , is not good for the earth.

Ugh!

That's just great, you went ahead and posted a thread about Google's energy-sucking doodle without any regard to the extra power demands YOU were going to generate with the post!! [Mad]

Let's just hope no one replies to it.

DOH!!!! [blush]

Ash - they could have raised just as much awareness with a static image. I didn't even realize it was animated at first, the effect was so subtle.

Snaggy - oops [blush]
