If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

I bet they'll design it, produce it, and then price it out of the market.... The world's first $1000+ netbook...

It's very cool looking though. If the price is reasonable I might even save up and get one...

Very nice.

It looks like what Sony were aiming for when they brought out this -

 -

I think Sony should be worried though, if Lenovo put their device into production no-one will want the Vaio anymore.

Shiny $1500 VAIO, or not-so-shiny, rather ugly used EEE 900 for around $150 - decision, decisions [Smile]

Ooh, shiny!

I also think the concept "mobile internet device based on Nvidia’s Tegra chip" featured in the inset here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/16/technology/16cell.html?_r=1

...looks awesome to me. It reminds me of the Psion Revo, which I wouldn't have believed was incredibly cool until I played with the one that belongs to a mate of mine. That's got a damn fine keyboard, and this looks like it could follow suit.

Also, I saw someone with a Dell Mini 12 in a coffee shop the other day, and after talking with her for a bit about it, got to feel the weight of it - quite decent. Still, I believe it costs a bit more, and only comes with Windows. If I get one of these little things, I don't want to pay the Microsoft Tax -- mostly as a matter of principle.

The Dell Mini 12 can be gotten with Ubuntu Linux instead of Windows. It's $50 cheaper that way, too.

Dell obviously think we croc-wrestling roo-rooting frontiersmen aren't geeky enough for Linux.

I've been watching Summer Heights High, and as far as I can tell you're not getting Linux 'cos you're a bunch of bogans and povos. [Wink]
