Tau, definitely, it makes much more sense.
Those Pi-ists are completely irrational.

Will the Pi supporters be forced to circle the wagons?

Maybe they'll call in a knight of the round table to defend them, Sir Cumference perhaps?

Those mathematicians aren't rioting, they're pi-ning for the fjords.

which side of the barricades are you on?
I'm off to the side with people who have no trouble multiplying and dividing by two and don't really care about removing a single calculation from one set of equations at the expense of adding an extra calculation to another set of equations.
If I had to choose, however, I'd go with Pi simply because I would like pie better than Tau Foo Far, Young TAu Foo, Tau Hu Ky, Cahn Bun Tau and pretty much every other recipe that includes "Tau" in the name.

You're right Steen, the Tauist rebel scum will be wiped from the face of the universe by the righteous forces of the Pi empire. We believe in order and mighty hats
We will prevail.
P.S. If I'm making no sense, please forgive me. Recently I've been following the antics of the Republican presidential candidates too closely for my own peace of mind.

It's just a factor of two, people - can't we all, just, you know, get along?

Sadly, no. If left along long enough, people who have no reason to argue with one another will create one.

Well...it's very nicely composed, but I'm a wee bit skeptical that it's an 'accurate' sequence.
That is when multiple instruments were being played, and many notes sustained whilst others continued forward, were the sustained notes 'played first' and in the correct order? </geeky_nit>
As to Τ vs π, I think the former is basically silly and being proposed by highly lazy fools who can't multiply by 2. Sheesh. 2πr is also πd -- oops, that was just too easy. πr² isn't very easy to do with Τ now is it?
Madness.
