If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

What a wild game that was! (Women's Hockey Gold Medal Final)

A toast to both teams! [Applause]

I am a huge hockey fan, not Pro Hockey but Pee Wee and youth hockey programs where the kids are playing for the joy of winning, not a pay check.

I enjoy good games where the outcome is decided in the last few minutes not by half time.

Then is when you know that the team that wanted to win the most did, unless the zebras changed the outcome.

That is one happy referee.

Well done both teams for two great games. [Applause]

WhereTF was the goalie?!

That was an awesome shot - it would have been stupendous if it went in.

I don't really follow the Olympics...but every time I see pictures from hockey games, I'm blown away by the bulky cameras placed inside the net...that can't make things easy for the goalie. :/ (Though I'm completely useless at sports, if I had to pick a sport, I'd say hockey is probably my favorite...)

Common practice in hockey when you're down a goal is to pull your goalie one or two minutes from the end so you have an extra attacker. It's obviously a risky thing to do, but you'd be surprised how often it works.

Shameless plug. (Please forgive me.)

dragonman, that clip is from the amazing women's gold medal final. Canadian women were down 2-0 until the last three minutes. They came back to win in overtime.

Boo...that link doesn't work south of the border. (Wow, that's the first time I've ever used /that/ phrase to mean that.)

spungo...well, that makes sense. Cheers! [Smile]
I might have known that a long time ago, but I only really followed hockey when I thought that knowing something about at least one sport might be useful. These days (i.e. not in grade school), I greatly enjoy being able to live life without resorting to such a ruse. (I did kind of like hockey, but I just can't really get into sports...it's just not in me.) A good friend of mine is quite a baseball fan, and he simply knows better than to discuss such things with me...and life is good. [Smile]

OTOH, I suspect the two posts with 's' at the start of their nicknames might get deported for not being knowledgeable about hockey. [Wink]
