I think this is great. Really; what star wars has become is at the moment what disney has become. Yes, expect anouther jar jar type character. The ewoks are just as ridiculous as jar jar. who should be the female lead?

Miley Cyrus?
I wish I knew more about her than the name, but it seems like a fair guess. :/
I have little love for Disney, but honestly, not a lot a lot for the way Lucas has been doing things lately. This move will take him out the driver's seat - maybe it will be good?

I don't think it's that bad.
Disney purchased Pixar in 2006 and Pixar has released Wall-E, Up and Brave since then. They bought Marvel Entertainment in 2009 and we've since gotten quite a few good superhero movies (and one Ghost Rider movie, but at least it wasn't quite as bad as the first). They also made Pirates of the Caribbean, Tangled and a few other good movies in-house.
I don't love Disney for many reasons (about 20% of this stuff), but I don't hate them either (maybe because they piss off so many extremist Christian organizations... how could I not love that?). At the very least, they're able gather a group of talented people and, most of the time, they have just enough sense to let those people make a good movie. If you'll excuse the pun, I would say that this news almost gives me... A New Hope!

This could go either way.
I do not like Disney because they got Copyright and IP laws changed, so that your great grandchildren will never see the end of Mickey.

Lucas has been making nothing but kiddies' movies for so long -- does this really matter?

-------------------- If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.
