Well synthetic DNA anyway. The headline is a touch sensationalistic but the article is much more
clear.

This can definatley be used for good more than evil.


Even if you wanted to make something evil/ pathogenic with this technology, it would be really really hard to do make something better that what millions of years of evolution has already made to overcome our immune system and is already available and easier to make.

this would be a really new way to spam people. Create a bacterium with our Pron web address in it and when you go to the doctor to get the bacterium sequenced to see what you have, you get a web address for easy tenn and male enhancement.

____ Actually this scares the poop out of me. The Mississippi now has an Asian Carp, There is an Asian Beettle that got loose, it was supposed to help control an aphid that attacks Soy beans. Now Corn and Soy Beans that have been Genetically Modified are showing up at Grain Elevators destined for human consumption.
