.....um, maybe you should consider staying off the roads. Either you are extremely unlucky or a really bad driver. Most bad drivers don't know they are.

YIKES!

Sorry to hear about this, but glad to hear you weren't even more seriously hurt.

Did an ambulance come and pick you up and such?

They do say *after* a hurricane is the most dangerous time.

ct, you might seriously want to consider public transportation from now on. At the rate you're going, you'll be dead or a quadriplegic in a few years.

Also, having 'the right of way' is worth about as much as an empty Metrocard -- won't get you anywhere fast. I think you really ought to consider throwing in the towel on driving - others are right about that...you've had a damn bad streak of 'luck.'

-ct-_____________Hey Just be glad that it wasn't my Dodge Truck so far it has killed four Deer (White Tailed) they just seem to jump out in front of it.
One dove into the right front wheel well then the rear ran over her, two jumped out in front of me and could not get traction I rear ended them, the last ran accoss in front of me she got caught by the right front corner of the bumber, two feet quicker and she would have gat away.
My truck has a better hunting record than me.

Be thankful you've never driven in oz.

The local equivalent of the white-tailed deer is the kangaroo. They can be up to 2 metres (6.5 feet) tall, weigh around 100kg (220 lbs) and travel at up to 70 km/h (45 mph). If you hit them at the high-point of a jump, the first point of contact can be your windscreen - a terminal experience for both 'roo and driver.

I've had the bejeezus scared out of me by roos on a couple of occasions.

so, i've been to a chiropracter a few times now, each time feeling no different than when i went in (actually, after the 1st visit i felt worse, found a new pain i didn't know i had)
of course all they did was stick some electrodes and ice packs on my back...

constant pain right now, dull throbbing ache both around my neck and lower back
i can't fnd a comftorable position to sit in
not to mention when i try to get up, i get a sharp pain in my tailbone (wtf? still?)

i feel another migrane coming on - oh and er didn't do a cat-scan even though i was unconscious for about a half hour after the hit
wtf with that? concussion? hellooo?

talked with att. today and it looks like i'm not gonna get much upfront as i thought i was
probably a LOT more, much later, but for now i can expect maybe blue-book value for my car
if they offer less i'll tell them to go F themselves

code:
Values listed for 33313 on 11/03/2005

Vehicle Condition: Fair Good Excellent
Retail Value: n/a n/a 15390
Private Party Value: 11380 12455 13255

i want full f-ing retail value, MF-ers

(anyone here work for allstate? could use an insider [Wink] )

also found out that the reason i couldn't get pics of the other guys' truck is that he came and got it out of impound really damn quick - wonder why that was?
oh yeah, he hadn't called in the accident to his (allstate) ins. co yet!
wtfwtf

i think my payoff, since i made a payment the week before it got crushed, is about 11988 (or so sez an auto loan amortization table) - meaning i SHOULD get all i've put into it
i can pay off the loan, plus get back the cash i laid out
i think

i'm still pissed, cuz that means i STILL won't have a car and i'll have to go shopping again and get another loan
i shouldn't fukn have to! [Mad] [Mad]
i should get this paid off, and get enough $$$ to buy another car outright! (i'm thinking mazada msp3 or msp6 awd, loaded of course)

back is killing me, i need beer and a good massage
hmm yeah, beer and a good massage from a g/f, if i had one...

well, to update this

neck and back still screwed up, going to chiro. every day to get electrodes and ice packs aint doing shit for me

left elbow not exactly healing nicely, i bend too far or bump it hard enough it'll crack open and start bleeding again

both knees and left leg above knee are still pretty damn sore

got news from ins. co - def. totalling my car, and i won't have much of anything left to buy another car with after i pay off my loan
therefore, i put a bunch of crap up on ebay - i hope one or all of you know someone who can use this stuff

i need another car more than i need these amps, and the other stuff is vehicle-specific

If you would've paid cash for the car, you would have all the money they give you for it to apply to another car.

No, but I know lots of people who buy cars that cost less than 15k. I also know someone who is getting ready to pay cash for a barely used Volvo, which will cost at least 13-16k.

a MONTH later i get this:

 -

2006 Mazda 3s Touring, 2.3, AT, 'roof/6 cd, red highlights interior (seats)

since my last car was paid off, but not showing as paid on my credit report, i had to get a co-signer (thx dad), but he signed in the wrong spots so i had to get *another* rental car for a few days while fresh paperwork was fedexed around
finally picked up my new car on sat.

been going to chiro., but i can't tell that it's doing anything
though, if i miss more than 2 days the pain really starts digging in

given scrips for xanax and flexoril and acetomeniphine(sp?) - supposed to kill pain and help me sleep but all any of it does is make me feel a bit lightheaded, pain is still there in lower back, neck

last few days lower back seems to be worse
i feel it as a sharp pain now, and it goes down back of my right leg, and partially but not as intense in back of left leg

both knees still hurt if i bump them into anything, same with left elbow - which now has multiple scars (and one on right arm too)

so yeah, that's the update...

You may want to see a doctor re: pinched nerves resulting from herniated or compressed discs in your spine. My grandfather had surgery last week to correct his compressed discs and had surgery a year ago to fix herniated discs. Both times he had the same symptoms you have. The pain down your leg(s) is a good indicator of a seriously pinched nerve.

What she said.

I paid cash for my car, and it shows. [Razz] I didn't want to take out a loan for a friggin' car.
