1. If you could be anyone you wanted to be, who would that person be? (Can be someone from history.) Nelly Bly would be fun
2. Who is the most overrated celebrity? If I never hear about Paris Hilton again, it will be too soon.
3. Who is the most underrated? Vera Rubin, who works on dark matter research.
4. Who was your childhood hero? Jacques Cousteau
5. Who would you most like to meet and spend time with? Richard Feynman. I wouldn't understand all his physics, but he was such an eclectic person there would be something to talk about.

The first three or four times I read this, I somehow skipped the second "a", and thought your sewer lines were being smoked out for Crack. What does such a mistake say about me? Clearly, I was having a Chris Rock moment
Anywho, on to the questions...
1. If you could be anyone you wanted to be, who would that person be? (Can be someone from history.) - Clodia
2. Who is the most overrated celebrity? - I agree with Aditu... has to be Paris Hilton.
3. Who is the most underrated? - Douglas Coupland ... he's only really known for the naming of 'Generation X', but ALL his novels are amazing, as well his art, theatre and non-fiction work (apart from Lara's Book, the Tomb Raider companion... seriously random).
4. Who was your childhood hero? - Roald Dahl
5. Who would you most like to meet and spend time with? - if it weren't completely impossible, then Shakespeare. Since that IS impossible, then (slightly more probably) Ryan Adams.

Um. I'm happy being me, thanks.

2. Who is the most overrated celebrity?
David Caruso. The fact that that man has a JOB in acting much less has achieved 'celebrity' status will never cease to amaze me. Worst. Actor. Ever.
quote:
3. Who is the most underrated?
The guy who plays Joey's nephew in Joey, and the pothead in Road Trip.
quote:
4. Who was your childhood hero?
Don't think I had one..

5. Who would you most like to meet and spend time with?
I've always wanted to sit and have a drink or a meal with Kevin Smith. I've talked to him plenty of times on the 'net since he's that kinna guy, but I mean sit down and have a steak with the man.

1. If you could be anyone you wanted to be, who would that person be? (Can be someone from history.)
Grigory Rasputin. Let's see: worked his way up from 'dirt farmer' to 'living in the Czar's palaces for free,' he could hypnotize girls into having sex with him, it took four murder attempts to finally kill him, and he had his own cult following. Fuck yeah.
2. Who is the most overrated celebrity?
Everyone and their mom is going to answer 'Paris Hilton' on this one, but I'm going to say Ashton Kutcher. He hasn't played a good role since 'Dude Where's My Car,' and still manages to keep himself firmly planted in the public eye.
3. Who is the most underrated?
Steve Albini, he practically built alternative rock, and put out the angriest song in history with Shellac, 'Prayer To God.'
4. Who was your childhood hero?
Hunter S. Thompson, or at least he's the closest thing I've had to a childhood hero...
5. Who would you most like to meet and spend time with?
David Lynch.

No, if anything Trent is NIN. A couple of the other guys have left over the years, but Trent is still going strong. In fact, he has just released a new album "With Teeth", and it is *very* good. If you're a fan of NIN then I would definitely recommend it. He is also starting a tour, I tried to get tickets, but they had sold out in 20 minutes. Gutted!

1. If you could be anyone you wanted to be, who would that person be? (Can be someone from history.) John Ramero
2. Who is the most overrated celebrity? John Ramero
3. Who is the most underrated? John Carmack
4. Who was your childhood hero? Beethoven or The Bard
5. Who would you most like to meet and spend time with? Hmmm... several answer to this one, let's start with the funny ones: 1.) myself, so that I know I'm in good company 2.) God. 3.) Bill Gates, if I can have a baseball bat, and he has his wallet on him (after he stopped at a ATM, after payday).
Serious ones: 1.) Myself, I'm not in a people mood right now. 2.) RMS or Linus... 3.) ...

WHoo HOOO!!!
1. If you could be anyone you wanted to be, who would that person be? (Can be someone from history.) I don't want to be anyone else, but I if have to choose it'd have to be Ben Franklin without the gout.
2. Who is the most overrated celebrity? Is there a celebrity that's NOT overrated? They all get way too much attention.
3. Who is the most underrated? No idea. Probably someone who doesn't want to be a celebrity.
4. Who was your childhood hero? Beethoven
5. Who would you most like to meet and spend time with? Someone nice who doesn't hide behind principles or change their personality to "suit the occassion". It also helps if they're not a beserker.

Oh, dude, no, the album sucks ass...it sounds like he took a little too much influence from the Faint/the Postal Service, the electro-emo crowd. I'm not at all pleased with the direction Trent's decided to take them in...

While we're on the subject, what bands, etc, fall under the "emo" category?

*fingers in ears* Lalalalalalala! I'm not listening!
Well you know Trent always seems to do something different for each album, it's one of the reasons I like NIN so much. When I first heard The Fragile I didn't really like it, but it's grown on me, but there are still a few tracks I don't like. I would give it another chance, you may change your mind, if not each to their won I guess.

I like the new NIN album. We found a store where we could get it on Vinyl but got the CD/DVD one instead. We are trying to build up our vinyl collection. but wanted to get the DVD part as well.

Line them all up in a row, and then get behind them and crouch.
