Repeat after me....

This is a War on Terror, not a War on Islam....

/me wonders if GWB understood the implications when he talked about the War On Terror as a 'Crusade'

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

I saw him blurt the word "crusade" during one of his early press conferences (before they went into Afghanistan). He immediately stopped in mid-sentence and changed it to "war" or something.

The look on his face was priceless. You could see him thinking: Oh, sh*t, they told me not to use that word, they told me not to use that word! Oh sh*t oh sh*t oh sh*t....

Does he have a license for that mouth? [shake head]

Maybe someone explained to him that the actual Crusades didn't go well for the christians.

Sure, they could send an army and occupy Jerusalem now and then, but the locals just kept counter-attacking, and eventually they wore the christians down. Hmmm, sound familiar?
