I’ve got to get some seeds.  I’ve got to get some seeds, right away.  Nothing’s planted.  I don’t have a thing in the ground.

Willie Pismo was a hard working machine. Logic board is plain worn out of him.

They just called and asked me to identify the body.

Nothing but the orange peel left.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Willie P.

[cry baby] [weep] [cry baby]

Is there no chance of a transplant?

No chance for a transplant, although Willie Pismo may be a donor.

There's a barely-used 5400 40G hard drive inside, an MCE 20G media bay drive, an MCE CDR drive (I really loved that media bay, and I'll miss it!). A couple of 256MB memory chips, which were as big as I could get back in the day.

Feed them to the fine young cannibals, I suppose, but I won't be able to watch.

I should be thankful I didn't go for the G4 upgrade, new battery and 1G memory boost.

Willie was a real superstar in his day. With FCP 3.0 running, previewing dailies and exporting EDL rough cuts in the edit suite, Adobe CS always there for a spare title or two, (or put together a comp during DT because some AD or designer was using his/her butt cheeks for earmuffs again), Peak DV putting a final mix on an audio track. Burn a CD and go. Great for presentations, too.

Puts a bit of a chink in the cpu rotation now.

Nuts.

I feel your pain, I remember when the monitor went out on my 5400 (Mind you this was some time ago) I was crushed but I felt better when I got a new computer. I always feel better when I get a new computer. Maybe this is a sign that you should go out and get the 17" Powerbook [Big Grin] I'm getting one with tax returns in a couple months (unless there is something better out) and my wife is getting the iBook G4 14"

There's nothing wrong with me, This is how I'm supposed to be.
