Yes, the dude from McDell will be returning. This time as a spokesdude for GameZnFlix, a NetFlix rip-off that also lets you rent games. Excuse me, I need to add this company to the list of others I will not be doing business with.

I always thought "Steven" was pretty funny. My son and I used to mimic him at home. But we mimic everything, especially commercials, so that may not count for anything.

When I read the topic, I thought, "Great! A sequel to Lebowski." Then I thought, "Crap! A sequel to Lebowski, likely to be bad."

Dell Dude was my hero!! Not because he sold "totally awesome" computers, or because he obviously smoked copious quantities of the sweet cheeba; but because Dell had the foresight to hire a super-stoner as their spokesman, and change their offical slogan to the non-informative-but-catchy "Dude, you're gettin' a Dell!!"

Oh, and also because he obviously smoked copious quantities of the sweet cheeba. [crazy]

I've never seen the Dell adverts from the USA. I have seen clips and like the fact that a stoner is used to sell sub-par computers. "Dude you're getting a piece of poorly made cack, now I'm off to toke on a joint"

--------------------
Computers may be twice as fast as they were in 1973 but your average voter is as drunk and stupid as ever.

Yes, the commercials made sense in a way. You'd have to be high on drugs to buy a McDell. Why do you think they call it dope? [Razz]

Great minds think alike [Big Grin]

Actually, I seem to spend more time than is healthy pondering The Big Lebowksi. A friend of mine is obsessed with the movie, to the point where he models himself on The Dude. I tell ya, it's way cooler to see a sloth-like icon of cool with freaky facial hair on your cinema screen than to have to share a house with one [Roll Eyes] [Cool]
