I hate using this board as tech support (especially as I've done nothing but lurk for a long time ) but Apple Home Sharing is making me quite confused, and the Apple help forums aren't clarifying things as it all seems to have changed since most of the replies to queries were posted in 2014.
Anyway, it should be a simple problem - my partner's laptop has died and given she uses it for nothing except backing up her iPad I've suggested she uses my Macbook. However on trying that - with a login for her and using her iTunes ID - it tells me I can only authorise the computer for a single iTunes ID. Apparently the answer to this is Home Sharing, which we've set up as both of us in the same "family", but it still won't let me sync her iPad with her iTunes account without locking my login out of my iTunes account.
I can't be the only person with this problem, but I just can't figure out a solution. Does anyone have any bright ideas?!

Stibbons, this may require a phone call to iTunes I think that because of the Copyrights acts back during the Mill-inion sharing may be against the digital rights of the content creator.

I haven't had to deal with this particular problem. Have you tried searching the "Ask the iTunes Guy" articles on MacWorld? I don't remember for sure, but this sounds like something they may have addressed in the last 6 months or so.
