So...I go to insert a DVD in my laptop last night, and wouldn't you know...audio troubles. I lack the words for precisely what's going on, but lets say it was fragmented and almost sounded to be doubling up...
ie: "I..I..am fi..fixing..a...trac..tractor"
I did some basic troubleshooting, but lack the time and energy to go further. I tried other DVDs, same nonsense.
Any help offered in the matter would be much appreciated!
Thanks

try getting a different media player. i suggest VLC it is free and can play almost anything. just google it if you want it. if getting another media player doesnt fix it i suggest reinstalling your audio drivers.

Does your laptop have a tray-loading CD drive? Did you accidentally drag some dust or a crumb of something onto the tray (and then onto the laser eye) when you loaded that first DVD?
Does just your sound jump, or does the picture jump too?
